ENFORCHANGE is one of 24 projects which are sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in the context of the programme “Research for Sustainability” and under the category “Sustainable Forestry”. The quest for holistic land use concepts with a promising future is at the core of this endeavour. Here, special emphasis is put on the issue of chances and risks, which derive from changing environmental conditions. The sub-project “Assessment and Planning” carried out by the Institute quantifies and evaluates directed environmental changes and their effects on the supply of forest products as well as the sustainable planning of forest holdings.
