Remote Sensing and Risk Management
The project "Integrated Remote System for the Support of Transnational Risk Management (STRiM)" aims at providing detailed information on the status of forests on a transnational scale. Such information is valuable e.g. for environmental monitoring purposes.
The system is supposed to serve as decision support tool for questions of strategic, tactical and operational importance. The system is tested in already well-investigated forests in the border region between Bavaria, Germany and the Czech Republic.
