Exploring the world of mycotoxins: Our team at The World Mycotoxin Forum in Antwerp

At the beginning of October, we had the honour of taking part in The World Mycotoxin Forum in the picturesque city of Antwerp. Our colleagues Sarah Schneidemann and Eva Biehl represented our department with great commitment and passion at this internationally renowned conference.

The conference provided a unique opportunity to explore the latest developments in mycotoxin research and control. Mycotoxins are mould toxins that can occur in food and feed and have a significant impact on human and animal health. This conference brought together experts and researchers from around the world who are working to tackle this challenge.

Our employees not only had the opportunity to attend high-calibre presentations, but also to share their own insights and expertise. The conference provided the perfect stage to showcase their expertise in the form of two poster presentations. Eva Biehl also had the opportunity to illustrate her research findings in a speed presentation in the large plenary session.

A particular highlight was the opportunity to meet up with old friends and colleagues and make new connections. In the world of mycotoxins, cohesion and knowledge sharing is invaluable and this conference provided the ideal platform to foster these important relationships.

The conference in Antwerp was not only educational but also inspiring. It broadened our understanding of mycotoxins and encouraged us to work together on solutions to minimise their impact.
