Leopold Weidner wins the Weurman Poster Award

Participating in the 16th Weurman Flavor Research Symposium, Helmholtz PhD student Leopold Weidner wins the best poster award in the area of 'analytical tools'. Weidner's poster is called "Monitoring the effects of thermal processing on flavor and flavor precursors during cooking processes through oven vapor. His research deals with FT-ICR-MS measurements of vapors that occur during heating processes, e.g. bread baking. His project significally contributes to a better understanding of the molecular changes that happen during thermal food processing and was therefore rightfully honored with the best poster award.
