Plants need to be able to translocate signaling molecules and assimilates over short distances, across membranes, as well as over long distances, between organs in order to grow and respond to external stimuli.

In order to understand these processes, we focus on transport proteins for phytohormones and amino acids. We characterizes the biochemical and biophysical proteins of transport proteins and investigate their role on a whole plant level.
