Characterization of gibberellin-regulated gene expression networks during abiotic stress response.
Gibberellins (GAs) are major plant growth-regulatory phytohormones that control a number of processes in plant development as well as abiotic and biotic stress responses through GA-dependent degradation of DELLA growth repressors. On the basis of an RNAseq analysis, we have identified a cold-specific GA transcriptome. Here, we propose to examine this cold-transcriptome, also in other stress conditions such as salt and heat stress, to examine the conservation of these regulatory networks in agronomically relevant plant species, and to characterize the DELLA protein-protein network in a more general manner.
