Speaker: Georg Jander (Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA)
Title of the talk: Suppression of plant defenses by aphid saliva.

Georg Jander has a long-standing research record in the field of plant-insect interactions. In addition to studying the role of benzoxazinoids in maize-insect interactions, his lab unravels the role of effector proteins in the saliva of aphids and how these influence the Arabidopsis immune system.
