The Young investigator initiative is hosting an Proteomics data analysis course.

During this event Dr. Christina Ludwig from the BayBioMS and Dr. Julia Mergner from the Chair of Prof. Dr. B. Küster will give participants an introduction to mass spectrometry and quantitative proteomics, followed by a hands-on training session in proteomic data analyzation and visualization.

Morning Session

  9:00                 Getting started and welcome
  9:10 -   9:40     An introduction into proteomics and sample preparation.
  9:40 - 10:10     Principles of liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry.
10:10 - 10:30     Coffee break
10:30 - 11:15     Quantitative proteomics.
11:15 - 12:00     Analysis and visualization of mass spectrometric data.

12:00 - 14:00     Lunch break

Afternoon Session

14:00 - 18:00     Hands-on training:
-        Learn how to use Perseus for analysis of proteomics data.
-        Learn how different analyses and visualizations help to answer your research question.

Optional lab tour

After 18:00         Short laboratory tour through the Institute of Proteomics and Bioanalytics for interested participants.
